Thank you Rezgar for a thorugh Marxist analysis of AI and capitalism.

As I remember from my Marx reading, and as your article proves as well, the very nature of capitalism PREVENTS the solutions that you recommend.

You report that three major capitalist owners of AI are willing to have some independent overview, willing to have some laws. But they are not willing to make any changes unless ALL capitalists are, and that means as well, ALL governments in the world. US/UK/EU/Commonwealth capitalism cannot unite with other competing capitalist nations. In reality, there are no socialist governments even left.

So making laws for all capitalism is impossible. So Trump-Musk views will prevail.

The only real answer, the only real solution is that whatever conscious members of the working class remains in as many countries as possible UNITE and struggle in the streets to build mass movements oriented to stop/smash capitalism and begin the process of building socialism.

Dear Ron

Many thanks for your thoughtful and valuable comment. I agree with you that the fundamental solution requires moving beyond capitalism toward a more just and democratic socialist society.

At the same time, given the current balance of class forces, we need to work with what is possible on the ground: placing AI systems under democratic social oversight, developing international regulations that ensure AI supports rather than replaces human intelligence, and building digital applications and cooperatives based on the needs of working people, not the interests of capital.

These struggles can also help build the forces needed for deeper systemic change.

In solidarity
