Thanks Binoy, nicely summarised. I like your use of his statement, Cameron Leckie, spokesperson for the Independent and Peaceful Australia Network (IPAN). “Australians deserve the truth about what they are paying for, what they are getting, and what risks this agreement carries for our sovereignty and security.”

I would add the strategic warnings that came from experts about the thermal plume that emanates from Nuclear Reactors under sea that along with noise makes detection of the Attack Class vessels by satellite or drone technology highly likely. Even when sneaking up on its adversary (in the South China Sea one supposes, the laws of physics still apply and entropy means the hot water produced, even when the reactor is moderated down to a minimum, will still provide a helpful target for the undersea drones to destroy our "investment" and a hundred or so submariners aboard.

They will of course be like galley slaves of old, toiling to the tune of our US/UK masters as you point out. Scrap the damned agreement now just like Morrison did with his Macron Naval contract.
