I’ve met enough of western PhDs, including from the Ivy League universities, who are ignorant, arrogant and wright their dissertations about other countries without ever visiting the country, speaking their language or understanding their culture.
Then they move to the carriers in “think tanks”, where they collectively hallucinate about western hegemony without borders and no end in sight. It pays well, and there is no accountability.
To go back to your idea of bombing inferior countries and killing women and children “for their own good” and “to help”.
Libya is a good example. Under Gaddafi, Libya was a stable country living in peace with the highest standard of living in Africa. School education was compulsory for children, including girls. Universities were open to women. Medical care was free. (The same was true for Syria and Iraq). A young family received $10,000 from the state to buy a house.
When, under the supervision of the self proclaimed champion for women’s rights Hillary Clinton, and with the indispensable help from the CIA, Gaddafi was murdered, all of that disappeared. There is a civil war funded by foreign entities. No peace, no stability. Trafficked women are being sold at the open markets.
“Mission accomplished”: the western corporations got access to their oil with the profits going west.
Should they thank you personally for your support of the regime change and the “progress” in their lives? I would speculate that they would love to look you in the eyes.
Is your current project is liberating Iranian women? They are 50% of the university and 70% of STEM students. Are you sure they are ready to fight and die for the right to walk around half naked like women in America? According to your thinking, you know best what they need.
The question is still there: What made you believe that you shall rule the world?
Its not supremacist. Its realist. I nor anybody else left or right wants to dominate or control or colonize other parts of the world as all did in the past. I just want people to stop praising hellholes that rape women for fun while insulting the west, and western men, out of privilege.

Just like women, black people, gays, trans etc, 'western PhDs' are diverse and you can't generalize from the two you met in passing.
