As I recall, Iran was supplied (bought?) its Nuclear reactor as part of the deal that installed the Sha last century. Wasn't that a little short sighted?
And I also am reminded that some reactors that generate electric power by the magic power of steam, actually run most efficiently on Uranium that is enriched with U-238 to above 60%. Maybe times, half lives and technology have changed...

Oops! U-238 is the most abundant in nature and enrichment is by the addition of U-235.
It's been some decades since I used radioisotopes and studied at "Lucas Heights" in Eastern Australia (the uncivilised Premier State). Apologies.
